Informació addicional

The Laboratory of Animal Models and Cancer at the Institut de Recerca Vall d'Hebron is offering several open positions in Melanoma Cancer Research and Translational Oncology for highly motivated candidates.

Our Lab interest, focus on the molecular basis of melanoma development, progression. By merging the state of the art technology with classical biochemical approaches and animal models we are committed to contribute to the understanding of malignant melanoma development and progression. More precisely, our goal is the identification of novel molecules and molecular mechanisms involved in this aggressive disease to increase the options for therapeutic intervention. Our investigations also include the testing of new therapeutical approaches using novel drugs in the mouse melanoma model.

Investigations will be focused in the molecular and genetic study of novel molecules involved in UV-induced melanoma development and progression, the role of protein methylation in signal transduction and the preclinical assays to test novel therapeutic approaches for melanoma treatment. All these studies will require the use of mouse animal models and human samples manipulation.
