The Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) has fulfilled its commitment to guarantee accessibility to its website, in compliance with all the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and those of other international organisations. The objective was to create a website that works best for everyone, through any Internet access device.
Our website is also accessible from the standpoint of ease of use, as it has been modified to make it easier to use by as many users as possible, irrespective of their level of experience, circumstances and capacities, based on a simple design with a clear, efficient structure.
The VHIO website complies with AA level accessibility as regards most of its contents, defined by the WAI guidelines and enlarged with respect to certain points by additional recommendations to improve its accessibility.
The site’s default font size can be enlarged in any modern browser, as follows:

- Opera: Click on the menu “View” and select “Scale”. This option allows you to enlarge or reduce the size of the page in steps of 10%, up to a maximum or by 150% or 200%. Press 100% to return to the normal text size.
- Safari: Click on the menu “View” and select the option “Enlarge text”. To return to the normal text size, press “Reduce text size”.
