Biosketch

STRATEGIC GOALS

  • To integrate imaging, engineering and bioinformatics expertise towards the development and clinical qualification of quantitative imaging biomarkers for precision medicine to improve patients’ care.
  • To use functional imaging for optimizing drug development through clinical trials.
  • To integrate radiomics and genomics in translational studies towards the deeper understanding of tumour evolution and mechanisms of resistance to anti-cancer treatments.
  • Optimization and standardization of imaging acquisition protocols.
  • Development and implementation of computational models for advanced image processing.

CURRENT OBJECTIVES

  • To define radiomics signatures of response to targeted-therapies and immunotherapy.
  • To evaluate differential responses to targeted therapies towards the study of tumour evolution and mechanism of resistance.
  • To develop novel image processing algorithms for easy, fast and reproducible MRI analysis.
