OBJETIVOS ESTRATÉGICOS

  • Integración de la investigación clínica y traslacional con la genómica para la terapia dirigida del cáncer
  • Bases de datos clínico-moleculares de agentes dirigidos emparejados y reportes estandarizados de pruebas de secuenciación de próxima generación
  • Investigación colaborativa en la genómica del cáncer / oncología computacional y sus implicaciones clínicas

OBJETIVOS ACTUALES

  • Facilitar estudios correlativos clínico-moleculares en el VHIO:
  • Proporcionar orientación a los médicos oncólogos y biólogos del cáncer durante el desarrollo, validación e interpretación de pruebas “omics” que tienen aplicación clínica directa;
  • Desarrollo y mantenimiento de bases de datos clínico-moleculares, un recurso para los oncólogos médicos, patólogos moleculares e investigadores translacionales de la institución;
  • Mantenimiento de la Gene Drug Knowledge Database (GDKD) (doi: 10.7303 / syn2370773), una base de datos estructurada que utiliza una terminología estandarizada para describir las asociaciones que integran diferentes anotaciones: tipos de tumores, genes, variantes, los patrones de respuesta / resistencia a los agentes aprobados y experimentales bajo investigación clínica y sus respectivos identificadores de PubMed.
  • Fomentar las actividades de investigación en colaboración entre los científicos computacionales de oncología, con el foco en el modelado predictivo y pronóstico, la identificación de los “cancer drivers” y el potencial de “targetearlos” en tumores sólidos.
