Mouse Models of Cancer Therapy

Strategic Goals

  1. Identification of non-redundant functions necessary for tumor cell propagation but not for normal tissue maintenance.
  2. Pre-clinical validation of Myc inhibitors as a therapy for multiple cancer types.
  3. Pre-clinical validation of inhibitors of inflammatory components in pancreatic cancer.

Current objectives

  • Modeling Myc inhibition in mouse models of lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and glioma.
  • Studying the effects of Myc inhibition in both tumor cells and microenvironment.
  • Validation of current Myc inhibitors in mouse models of cancer.
  • Designing the best Myc inhibitor.
  • Inhibition of mast cells in pancreatic cancer.
  • Evaluation of the therapeutic impact of anti-inflammatory drugs as therapy in pancreatic cancer.
